Tadeusz Golińczak was born in 1954 in Ścinawa. In his youth, he studied law in Wrocław. He lived in Hamburg for 23 years, where he ran his own studio and art gallery. His first work on the path of a sculptor, which helped him believe in himself, was the folk sculpture “Five Musicians with Accordions”.
He does not treat sculpture as work – for him it is pure pleasure. As he emphasizes, the hours spent in the studio directly reflect the needs of his soul.
In his creative space, he does not accept idleness and does not allow himself to be unproductive – he likes it when time works for him. In the flow of the creative process and the time spent in the studio, Tadeusz finds deep satisfaction.
His favorite creations are those that bring him a sense of swing – large, flowing forms that reveal a different feeling when viewed from every angle. In figures, he values fluidity and avoids cubism. He distances himself from taboo subjects and consciously rejects simplicity.
The different stages of his life give him the freedom to create in materials other than wood. As an alternative to warm wood, he often reaches for canvas and paint, metal, and stone. He believes that inspiration can be found everywhere and does not follow rigid patterns.
Tadeusz is truly a traveling soul, and his sculptures can be found in various corners of Europe. On a daily basis, he can be met in Świdnica and on the island of Rügen, where he runs his studios, and during the Christmas season also at the traditional Christmas Market in Cologne.
